About the Speaker
Atsushi HIGUCHI (Deputy Head of Tokyo Centre, OECD)
Atsushi joined OECD in 2013, and is Deputy Head of OECD Tokyo Centresince 2015. He has engaged in policy discussions between OECD and governments, businesses and academia in Japan and Asia, covering a wide range of social and economic policy areas including education and skills, tax guidelines, responsible business conduct, green finance, and innovation. He is also in charge of the OECD’s knowledge dissemination in Japan and Korea, promoting the organisation’s online publication and statistical database platform OECD iLibrary.
Prior to joining the OECD, Atsushi was Marketing Manager at The Economist Group in Tokyo where he spearheaded client marketing for The Economist magazine and whitepapers produced by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), as well as audience development for Economict Conferences. Before that he was the head of private sector donor relations at Japan Association for United Nations World Food Programme. He also has a rich experience in several Japanese media and information service companies.
Atsushi has an MSc in Social and Public Communication from London Shool of Economics and Political Science and BA in Economics from Waseda University.
